Looking for the top iPhone games to download??

The top Apple iPhone games

Whether you've got an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, or the new Apple iPhone 4S, here's some of paid and free iPhone games..

Wander over to the App Store, and games apps are likely to dominate the free iPhone and paid iPhone app charts. The question is, how do you tell the difference between a time-filler and a time-waster?

1.Flick Kick Football

This app, quite simply, is all about putting the ball into the back of the net. Take control of power, direction and curve to score from nigh on impossible angles in this addictive footy flicking game. It's the beautiful game in its most purest form.

2.Fruit Ninja
The premise is simple: use your finger in quick strokes on the touchscreen to guide your ninja blade and carve up a never-ending barrage of colourful fruit being launched from the bottom of the screen. There's enough modes to bring variety to your fruit slicing, with multiplayer support taking your swordsmanship worldwide.

3.Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation
Undeniably the finest war-themed first person shooter on the iPhone, Gameloft serves up 13 gruelling theatres of war across Europe, America and the Middle-East, to test your firing skills. There is multiplayer support for up to 12 players and it is probably the closest to Call of Duty you can get on your iPhone at the moment.

4.Words with Friends
So addictive even Alec Baldwin couldn't put it down, find out which of your friends really used to read the dictionary as a child. The turn based title has push notification support to let you know when it is your go, and access across all iOS devices so you can continue your game on an iPad or iPod Touch.
Price: 1.99 or Free Edition
5.Tiny Tower
Apple voted it as its iPhone game of the year, pipping the equally addictive Tiny Wings to top spot. Building from the ground up, it's up to you whether you have a residential floor directly below a laundromat in the quest to turn your construction into cash. Best of all? It won't cost you a penny to play it.

6.Drop 7 by Zynga
Puzzlers are a dime a dozen, but what makes Drop 7 stand out from the app crowd is that every move really requires you to have your thinking cap on. The aim of the game is to drop numbered discs into a grid as you watch them explode when the number of discs in a column or row matches numbers on the discs. While it might not be the prettiest, it makes up for it in terms of playability.
Price: 1.99 or Free Edition
7.Cut the Rope
Physics can actually be fun. iPhone gamers can now add Chillingo’s sublime Cut The Rope to that list of mobile casual classics. As with those other titles, the goal and objective in the game could not be simpler. Cut the rope to feed the monster. A must buy.
Price: 0.59 or Free Edition
8.Infinity Blade II
Graphically, the first Infinity Blade was head and shoulders above most iPhone games, and in its second outing visuals are similarly polished. It's much the same again as you battle your way through levels collecting gold and levelling up your character. It was buggy at launch but if you loved the first one, it's a no brainer buying part two.

9.Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Sega’s spiky blue hog has made a couple of appearances on the App Store but it’s the arrival of T3’s favourite Sonic 2 that has us feeling all nostalgic inside. Retro gaming at its finest, Tails is on board to help stop Dr Eggman and with original levels in place and great on screen touch controls, this is a match made in mobile gaming heaven.
